Did a bit of dusting - only two bookshelves (there are eight in our house, I think) - so now it's time for some eggnog. With rum, of course. ;) I decided I was done with painkillers a few days ago. I think I'm so used to ignoring discomfort in my abdomen that it's very little different. It's possible that when I'm healed I'll feel better than I have in years.
Only realized a little while ago that I seem to have a serpent theme running with the recent books. :)
I've went down to the doctors office (I'm fine, just needed reassurance of that), I wrote a bit of a letter, I've done my storm painting for today, ("interior storms" - light frames which will be wrapped in plastic - the modern way to cover one's windows with plastic and not damage the moldings - and I'm trying to either paint or prime one side of a frame every day). But I haven't done my walking for today. I may have overdone it yesterday, so maybe a day off is a good thing. Eor has set up my treadmill in the garage, though (last night, after he read that the forecast for today was slush falling from the sky), so I could still walk even though it's dark outside. He's awesome. :) I thought it was quite amusing the way he did it: I sort of asked if it could be done and he had this reluctant, dragging his feet air about it, and then he teased me and made me laugh, and while I was still laughing he suddenly dashed off, stole my shoes, and when I went after him he was well along on getting the space cleared to set the treadmill up. In fact we haven't had slush today, just a light spitting rain all day. I just kind of... let the day get away from me.
Other things I've been reading besides serpent books...
Stand Still, Stay Silent - I just mainlined slightly over a year's worth of this comic in the past few days. Starts a little slow as she lays the groundwork for the story, but I really like her art. (and yes, the abbreviation is SSSS, so maybe still in the serpent theme.)
And speaking of another webcomic that I mainlined years of when I first found it, but it falls by the wayside a lot these days,
That's a first date conversation I'd like to have. :)

And what else is there to say? Hawk says he and his Mate the Minx (she calls the stories of things they do "the Adventures of Monkey and Minx"; they really do have strange adventures) are coming to the east coast for Christmas to spend time with her parents and let them interact with their grandbaby, so I'd better meet them somewhere between here and Cape Cod or something.
