The former manager who got busted down to Supervisor came back from New Hire training, today, and I started giving her the local classes. Damn it was difficult to get her through the first test. Maybe it's brain mush from just having had so much learning crammed into her over the past two weeks. She's being good natured about the process, though, which is nice.
People welcomed her back so warmly. She hadn't made friends as a manager, but I guess they feel like she's been kicked about enough for now.
The 'pool' is no longer a hole! :) :) :) It's piles of dirt at the moment, but getting there. Eor filled the hole where the skidsteer entered, and rebuilt the fence (which actually involved patching one of the posts back together with two metal plates and some screws, because it broke while he was putting things back in place), and I took some of the metal (top edge) to the dump, and began sweeping the driveway.
The other day when we went hiking with a friend, having worked hard all morning and having the same to look forward to in the later afternoon, Eor said, cheerfully "We'll be spending the afternoon in the pool!"
