My father has shuffled off this mortal coil. I'm really glad the pain is done for him. But that didn't stop me crying, and I don't know as I'm going to be done for a while.

I feel as though I should make a detailed post, but I'm not sure I have the wherewithal at the moment. My stepmother has actually been great; very accommodating about every detail of the viewing, service, stone, disposal of remains, etc.

*hugs* My deepest condolences on your loss, sweetie. Don't worry about detailed posting: use your energy for you.

My condolences, I am so sorry for your loss. Don't worry about posting, focus on yourself and your family for a while. And let yourself cry, there's nothing wrong with that!

*HUGS* Do whatever you need to whenever you need to. It's hard to find your balance after such a loss, but I pray peace will be yours.

I know he must have felt great happiness at having your and your brothers' company and support these past months and especially the past week. You've been so strong and wonderful, though it must have been very hard. And cry all you need to. Hugs.

I don't know about strong, but thanks. I've been trying to be there for Hawk, Eightball and Aunt S, and make connections with farflung parts of the family who unfortunately learned the news from my facebook post, get them info about something Dad might have liked donations to (I found The Apprenticeshop (http://www.atlanticchallenge.com/apprenticeshop/index.shtm), a school for traditional boat-building which was started by a guy he knew in his home town.) and going to work - keeping myself busy!

*hugs!*
