Eor has gone to spend some final time with his mother. She has decided to stop dialysis and be done with this life. I wish I could be there with everyone, but he asked me to stay at home and take care of his sproutlings, which need watering three times a day right now.
We had a phone call while I was on the treadmill this evening. He says that, having made her decision, and getting palliative care so she's not in too much pain, she's eating better. And she still has her faculties and can converse with everyone who's visiting. I think it's kind of good to be able to have some influence over choosing your own time, and have that opportunity to visit and say goodbye.
