Just finished watching Dr. Strangelove for perhaps the third time in my life. I kind of love this movie, but it puts me under such stress to watch - I get so invested in the crew on the bomber. They're good men; dedicated, professional, innovative, they do their damnedest to carry out their mission.
But during the firefight at the airbase they prominently featured a large sign saying Peace Is Our Profession, and it made me wonder if that was THE airbase we were intended to think of in Good Omens. In the book, anyway. I still haven't seen the miniseries. Yeah, yeah, I know.
I actually subscribed to Amazon Prime a month ago by accident, so today, having been reminded in this fashion, I asked Eor if he'd watch it with me, and he went to great lengths to try to get it to work on my computer. Turns out Prime videos cannot be played on my computer. He says tomorrow he'll dig the old windows machine out of mothballs.
