I set my phone alarm in order to motivate myself to leave on time this morning, so I was treated, for the first time, to the music which someone thought was an appropriate alarm. Sappy country music. It got me moving, anyway - I couldn't turn that shit off fast enough.

Shoulder hurts, I think from all the mousing I had to do the other day for the stupid monthly report. I need to change something about how that works.

Eor took me to see a house, last night, which is amazingly cheap. Nice trees all around it. Boggy back yard. Poor choices have been made in additions and adaptations on the building, years ago, and there's some rot problems. It's been abandoned and is owned by the bank, now, so there's some detritus of people's lives laying around, and I found that really creepy, but someone obviously loved the yard at some point... I want to see it with a real estate agent, hopefully on a sunny day, before I decide it's too creepy. There's no telling what some white paint might do.

Do you plan on selling off your current house? It isn't rented, is it? I can't remember. And yes, daylight and some paint and cleaning can make a world of difference!

We can't sell for at least another year because we used that tax-break thing that was offered a couple of years ago, and if you took that you have to stay in the place for three years or pay back the money. And the market is so down right now that we would never get what we paid for it. (It's only part of a house and we paid more than twice what that other place we looked at is listed for.) But, the attraction of the house we looked at the other day is that we could probably afford to pay mortgage on both this place AND there, and fix it up while living here, then move at our leisure and either rent this place out or sell it.

Yet another compelling argument as to why you are a great person. :)
