It was lovely yesterday, probably 50F, and Eor and I dug up a bunch of huge rose roots. Very nice this morning, though overcast. Eor cleared old canes out of the blackberry and thimbleberry patches while I moved those old canes and the rose roots to the burn pile. It started to rain around noon, and it was a bit sleet like. Got steadily colder during the day. Since we had to do indoor work he changed out the tires on his car for the summer tires, but left mine for a couple more days because I have to drive to work on Tuesday, and who knows what it will be like. Right now the sleet seems to be enthusiastic.
I made a molasses cake. He doesn't like it. It will go to work with me on Tuesday. I'll have to bake something else tomorrow. I really should have worked out my recipe a bit more before I jumped into it, because halfway through I had to double my flour.
