Analogous to library-fine-amnesty day or tax-amnesty day, this is the Things You Should Probably Know About Me But Forgot amnesty meme. Or alternatively, Things You Should Probably Know About Me But Never Knew. If there are things you'd feel embarrassed asking me to my face the next time you see me, or issues you've been careful not to raise because you didn't know my position on them or relationship to them, because it seems like something everyone else knows by now, just ask about it as a comment to this thread, and I'll answer it. Since it's the amnesty thread there will be zero guilt or embarrassment involved, even if it's something I might normally give you a hard time about not knowing.

In addition, if it is actually a Thing You Really Shouldn't Know About Me, I will not give you a hard time about thinking you should. I'll keep this thread unlocked unless conversations necessitate some kind of security settings.

Also, feel free to post anonymously if you want. If I find your question incredibly offensive I'll just ignore you. ;)

Yrl. *eyerolls* I'm 44 at the moment. My birthday is in August.

Oh gosh. I really don't know how to answer that. I love reading, but I'm polyamorous - each book that I love is loved for what it is and not compared to others. I guess I could go back to "The Annotated Alice" and Kipling's "Just So Stories" as first loves. In practice my favorite might be the one I'm currently reading. In a few days I might be able to come up with a better answer. ;)

It's something which apparently tastes like tea to Arthur Dent. :) I think of this as a stealth icon, because first people notice the tea (my favorite drink) then they notice the mouse (I do try to keep myself low-profile) and then maybe they remember the mouse is offering to buy Arthur's brain. Eor made that for me, from a screen-cap from the Hitchhiker's Guide Movie, which we acquired as soon as it came out.

Thanks for the honesty! :) I asked because I kept thinking you were around my age (32) since you use both abbreviations and an impressive vocabulary.

I have seen the movie, but I was a little distracted at the time (and I'm not as much of a Douglas Adams fan as all the cool kids are) so I couldn't place the image.

I love coffee, but I hate drinking hot beverages on hot days...I need to find a good cold coffee drink to make at home (so it's affordable).

And despite my icon, I've never had a beer. I can't stand the smell of it. It's just a fun quote. :)
