(I forgot to crosspost the test to DW and I don't feel like taking my post down and reposting it)

Also, the results page is so pathetic. I restrained myself from saying I was disappointed in my fellow citizens - I mean, I'm no brilliant scholar, but I got 72%. (Eor got 90.91%!) But then you look at the breakdown of results and elected officials do worse than the average citizen.

However, I'm also not impressed by the slant of some of the questions, which take for granted that economics is part of civics, that capitalism is wedded to democracy. I mean really: "Free markets typically secure more economic prosperity than government’s centralized planning because:" I'm not sure that the part they state as a given there is necessarily true.

What a silly way to phrase a question, particularly post-2008! I could give a very long answer to it, but I'd probably get zero marks!

I'm sure that even in the class there would be no way to actually voice an opinion. When I was in college I never did try to find ways to do so because I was too concerned with keeping my grades up, so I would answer any way I thought they wanted, but now I want to at least drop an email to the Intercollegiate site and just say that one really sucks. But if I started I might not stop.

I got 66%! I think most of the ones I missed were "which part of the govt. does which thing" questions though. (I do know that the Electoral College is not an actual school though!)

I kind of suspected you would get a good score, regardless of it being a test not even over the civics of your own country.
