If you check the upper left corner here, do you think that emblem deserves to be called (as many do) "The Fourth Reich Badge"? (Yes, we're joking. Our concern is that people may see it that way. And in the back of my mind is the niggling worry that it was designed to give that impression.)

Just read the intention of the design and it seems to fit-
the eagle has an element of a phoenix ....I like it ok.....

looking at it again it may have some underlying Native American influence .....
certain tribes hold the eagle sacred....
Ps FDR also used the eagle ......
