A power outtage meant my computer was down when I got home, and now everything wants to update. It's a little distracting.
Once again I come home with no brain left. I gave myself 'schedule brain' (Bagadonuts's phrase) trying to figure out what the hell they expect of us next week. The schedule as they've given it to us seems to show us getting two and a half days work (which are supposed to be like nine and ten hour days) done in two days, teaching twice as many students as we're supposed to, and doing one on one classes with two people at a time. The guy from the contract training company stuck his fingers in his ears and went 'la la la!' (yes, really) because this is completely off the scale not what is supposed to be done. And is apparently what Boston does all the time. Well, we will do our best.
I may be getting help soon, though of course he'll be in and getting trained long after this mess is all blown over. Still.
ETA - no days off until next week... possibly Saturday. Meaning no going out to the Alastair Frasiar and Natalie Haas show, because in fact I'm going to be teaching 1230 til 2100hrs.
