Aw, man, I'm reading "The Stainless Steel Rat Saves The World," and I know I read this almost 30 years ago, but HOW could I have forgotten that he goes back to 1807 and fights Napoleon?! Seriously, all my fav ingredients - super criminal/hero, ott sci-fi, time travel AND Napoleonic wars. Goofiness par excellance!

Next Generation did something in one of the eps (or one of the movies, maybe?) where they were on a sailing ship all decked out AoS style, and publicized it heavily in the ads, but then in the show it was actually just this one really short scene - what a bummer! Picard looked so good in that captain's uniform!

Everyone looks good in that Navy with the gold epaulette's and lace! That's why they designed it like that! Too awesome! :D

What we really need in today's armed services is better fashion designers. ;) I came up with several design suggestions, but nobody ever encouraged me - in fact they laughed. I guess suggesting that the TSA should have scimitars set off their irony bells.

You know, I wonder if that NG scene was intended to inspire plot bunnies? Do you ever wonder if some Star Trek writers are encouraging fanfic? Should Picard meed Jack Aubrey? Would Worf be irresistible to Stephen, who would want to give him a complete physical?

Stephen would want to give all of them complete physicals. Twice ;D
