Eor has just started a rant column. I'm encouraging him to try it out because I think he has a talent for bringing news events together in a form which I can understand, and I think others could profit from his talent as well. So here's the first one, "The politics of dancing"

Matt needs to add something so people can respond. The press release about the White House and Air Force One being targets could be construed as meaning Bush was actually one of the targets, depending on where he was, but they didn't want to come right out and say Bush was a target. If Bush is at the White House, there would be no reason to bring down AF1, and if Bush is in AF1, then the White House isn't as important a target. Therefore, four planes, four possible targets.

I asked him about setting up a format where he could get feedback, and I'm probably going to misrepresent his reasons why not (because I didn't quite understand it), but I think it had something to do with his not feeling up to handling interacting with people right now.

Was his point not clear in what he wrote? Because if it wasn't clear to YOU, I'm trying to convince him he should re-write it. Or was it just that you don't agree with him? He's fine with people not agreeing with him, he was just tossing out a thought about possible motives.

I didn't disagree with him. I was just offering my own two cents.

I can see where he might not want to allow people to comment/respond. It could get out of hand.

Um, I'm not really in genius mode this morning so that's the best I can muster up.
