Attended Cool Shade of Blue gig with co-workers. Was fed lots of hot wings and a very stiff Bacardi&Coke. lurve the cow-orkers.

Actually, I came home 2 hours ago, and the drink has looong since worn off, I just liked the Buggerallethis sound to the above.:)

Work stuff....
---------------------------
I've been thinking of compiling helpful hints for passengers to facilitate their passage through the security checkpoint. One good thing to keep in mind would be, when you're getting wanded, don't jump around or move your head - that can often result in your head getting hit by the wand, which isn't fun. Also, don't pull up your shirt.... we know you want to be helpful, but there might be kids around. I had a woman the other day - the underwire started to come out of her bra, and she helpfully thought she'd remove it for me right there so I could see it was just the wire. I had to very firmly say we would go into a private screening _right_now_.
-----------------------------
Kids are amusing...
Me: "Now, as I do this bag search, is there anything I might cut myself on?"
Kid: "Well, there's a jackknife in that front pocket."
---------------------------
During debriefing the other day we were informed we'll now keep a chair at the front of the line at all times for passengers to sit down and take off their shoes, per our Director. A fiery little blonde girl co-worker of mine piped right up and said, "That was _my_ idea! I asked a couple weeks ago if we could do that and I was told NO!"
The Supervisor just looked at her with a little smile and said, "It's the _Director's_ idea now, so we'll be doing it."
We gave her a huge round of applause - the comment was just so _real_. :)
--------------------------
And in non-work stuff....
I've been hearing, lately, that North Korea is threatening to turn everything south of the DMZ into a fiery inferno. I'm not sure how serious this really _is_ - presumably the U.S. will try to remove our civilians if our government takes this threat seriously....? Or should I be telling my Mom and brother to get _out_ of there?
My Uncle and his lovely wife recently had a scare close to home, as a club in Bogota', Columbia, which she used to belong to for years, (and her brother and nephew still belong to), was car-bombed. *shudder*
Being alive is full of risks, every day, even for the most dull life, like my own.
