I'm going to lift posts from Lapis_Lazuli and
Cheezdanish. Of course I find this stuff so funny because my job is supposedly on the "front line" of protecting our citizens. We're essential personnel, therefor not allowed to strike, and strongly discouraged from getting sick.

More fun with our government's emergency preparedness illustrations.
And for the thing that sparked me off, today, see _her_ LJ, because I haven't yet figured out how to post gifs in my LJ and I'm apparently too effin lazy to bother at the moment. I'm a sucker for All Your Base, I guess.:)
And now for The Friday Five and some bed quiz - read at your own risk.:)
The Friday Five...
1. What was the last song you heard?
I heard myself singing UB40's "Rat In Mi Kitchen" at work.
2. What were the last two movies you saw?
"The Rabbit-Proof Fence" and "The Two Towers."
3. What were the last three things you purchased?
Groceries. Last Sunday I bought an egg sandwich and a cup of coffee. Um. I don't know where my money goes.
4. What four things do you need to do this weekend?
Get my hair cut, get passport photos, get tax returns photocopied and sent out, check the PO Box, make a bank deposit, and find out the price of Patak's curry past at Sun Oriental Market. Oh, that's 6, isn't it... and that's _besides_ the normal laundry, grocery shopping, hanging with Caw and the plethora of 'etcetera' that happens on weekends. And people wonder why I blow off their events.
5. Who are the last five people you talked to?
Eor and 4 co-workers.
And I don't know the name of this quiz...
1. What size is your bed?
King - abso-effin-lutely.
2. What do you wear to bed?
Nothing.
3. How many people regularly sleep in your bed?
Me and Eor
4. Do you sleep with a blankie or stuffed animals?
No, but I have a cat who sleeps by my pillow who I could _wish_ was stuffed when she begins to kick her ears in the middle of the night.
5. If you could wake up next to any famous person who would it be?
Maria DeMedieros.
6. What would have happened the night before?
Re-enacting the scene she did with Uma Thurman in "Henry and June," only with a much better ending.;)
7. How many people can comfortably sleep in your bed?
3... maybe 4 if you didn't mind getting rather cozy. Yes, we _did_ buy it hoping someday to find a girlfriend. We're ever-hopeful.
8. Who is the next person you would like to have in your bed with you?
Besides Maria DeMedieros, considering she's probably quite unattainable? A woman with a good sense of humor who knows how to enjoy life. She doesn't really have to look like Maria DeMedieros, though that would be a distinct plus.;)
9. What position do you go to sleep in?
Curled on my left side.
10. What position do you wake up in?
Flat on my back.
11. Have you ever woken up in a really weird position?
When I was about 12y.o., I slept (in all my clothes) on a goatskin (from a goat, Nathan, who I'd considered a pet, but we ate him - I refused to give up his skin for a looong time) in a huge store-room full of hippies one night and woke up with this kid, Tristan's, head against the back of my leg.
12. How many blankets/covers do you have on your bed?
2 thermals, a quilt, and 2 small rugs Eor's Mom knitted. Eor hates cold.
13. Do you hog the blankets?
Nope, Eor does.
14. Have you ever found your pillows on the other side of the room?
No, my pillow usually gets pushed up to the headboard because I don't like it under my head when I'm on my back.
15. When was the last time you fell out of bed?
Never - I wake up before I roll over. Good thing, too, because when I was in high school that would have been a 5'6" drop onto concrete.:)
16. Do you have any strange bed habits such as sleep talking etc?
Someone told me once I was sleeping with my eyes partly open, rolled back in my head.
17. Do you snore?
Apparently fit to wake the dead, if you ask Eor.:)
