Bottom line is, I'm feeling VERY accepted right now, and this rocks the effin house.:) I came out to 4 MORE people at work, today, as bi and poly, and not only didn't get any negative responses, but found that one used to be on my polynne list, and two others offered to help me find a girlfriend.:) Basically, I feel like the people I talked with (for my later reference, and for you, JimDes, that would be ND, JI, KW and, marginally, KL) all responded from the standpoint that they know something about me as a person, and can tell that when I say I want a relationship I'm not talking about a fuckbuddy. And, that especially ND and JI were quite comfortable about asking questions and really seemed to listen to me on the answers I gave.

I know this doesn't anywhere near do justice to the conversation, but I'm out of words right at the moment.

What can I say,
you're a great friend to have around! I'm glad our co-workers are accepting you for who you are and not talking about you behind your back. I have heard from so many people at work that "You get what you see when you talk to (Derien)". And that is so true. I don't think I have ever met anybody so true to their self as you are. Thanks for being a friend and for putting up with my know-it-all, encyclopedia of bullshit attitude ;) by the way, thanks for plugging my web site!

And you know what people say about you behind your back, Jim? That we're lucky to have someone around who'll speak his mind. Particularly when you call people on inappropriate behaviors. I've heard people speak admiringly of the fact that you can say something - pleasantly, even - to chastise someone who uses a racial, sexual/sexist or ethnic slur. And we can only hope that we'll be able to emulate you next time such a thing occurs.
