I keep making little notes to myself about things I want to write about, and then when I get to sit down I can't collect my thoughts. This evening I've had a loooong day. Got up at 7AM, hustled through the laundry, then Eor and I went to Southport to pick up Eor's van for the summer, and back to Brunswick for coffee with xMuskrat, LWolf and two others who shall remain unnamed because I don't have nicks for them (JP and PP). As soon as we arrived home Caw showed up with cookies. (The other day she brought over strawberry-rhubarb pie - I swear she's trying to fatten me up. It's not like she has to worry, she runs like 4 miles a day - she's underemployed and has nothing to do besides hone her calf muscles.) Anyway, it's been a very sociable day, and, although I'm more sociable than Eor, that much socializing can still wear me out.
So, anyway, on to much more interesting things. Eor has made a few LJ entries, lately - yay! He's back to posting, after a year's hiatus.:)
And while you're reading stuff, definitely read JimDes's entry about the Korean Swim Team - *chortle* :) When JI related that story during debrief the other night JimDes and I looked at each other and said "who's going to write this up?!" because one of us obviously had to.:) Well, he did a much better job than I would have, I'm sure.:)
Oh, and you can read the whole of the conversation in Inscrutable's journal, here, but let me just give you this bit... The_Outlaw wrote: Although I have Freedom ancestors, I've never really celebrated it much. When I was in high school, they only offered three languages: Freedom, Spanish and Latin. I took Spanish. ...snipped... Next we're going to start burning Freedom flags and Freedom books. Eventually the entire word Freedom will be stricken from our vacabulary all together and then where will we be.
*chortle*
I think that's it for tonight. Going to pour myself a vodka and ginger-ale and go put away all those clothes.
