I'm actually liking that new icon a bit. Still think I'll make another soon, though. I like to have current pics. Apparently I inspired Lemondropgirl to change her icon, but the change only shows if I see it through my friend's page, so I can't see it until she posts something new. Anyway, I think know which pic it is - the one I have up on my site, here. I'd had 3 drinks on an empty stomach when she told me this, Monday, at The Underground (goth night), but I'm pretty sure I remember right.:) The Underground doesn't have a website, that I can find. hum. Was cool to see Lemondropgirl and her honey! And to scope the girls in vinyl - she's right, that's good for one's soul.;) I pointed out one girl, who turned out to be an old college friend of my brother, Hawk - *blink* small city.

Was very honored to see that Rowantree listed me as the one person she tried to keep in contact with after high school. Losing contact with her was something I regretted for years, and I'm glad we've gotten in touch again. But then again, as I've gotten older I've appreciated my friends more and more.

And speaking of friends I appreciate - I received books from Ora sometime in the last couple of days - yay!! :) She sent me two by James Schmitz - "The Demon Breed" and "Agent of Vega". I think I remember her telling me these are some of the oldest sci-fi with strong female characters which she has encountered. Looking forward to getting into these as soon as I finish "Dhalgren" (Samual R. Delaney).

And speaking of getting cool things in the mail - Today got 3 pairs of velvety gloves from Hawk - darkest green and blue, and ruby red with fake-fur cuffs. Eor thinks I should wear them for goth night next time we go.:) He'd bought me these for Christmas, back in November, but when he came here from Korea in January he'd been unable to find them. His girlfriend found them in his new apartment and he wrote to me "you almost didn't get them!" - I guess she liked them, too.:)

Do you know that in some nature park, I think it's in China, where they have lions, they actually let tourists buy live animals to throw out of the cars so they can watch the lions eat them? One of my co-workers found this in the National Geographic. It's like $3.65 for a chicken and like $36.00 for a sheep. That sparked great conversation in the breakroom at work, yesterday, as people speculated on what the pricelist might look like for other animals to toss out, and could we also buy children or Christians to feed to the lions...?

And, I think I may have mentioned a few days ago that I was going to help fill in the crowd scene in a restaurant for an independant movie. I was invited by Sky Meyers, a local artist and web designer who I feature on my website, and who's actually got a few lines in the movie.:) So, if we're not cut out, you might be able to see me pretending to talk and eat with him in the background of "Sidesitting" when it comes out from Silver Screen Dreams. :) So, that was kind of fun, and it was nice talking with Sky.:)

Okay, time for food, water, and maybe catching up on some other things in my life. I'm jonesing because Yahoo groups are not working right now and I want to read the Red Dwarf Slash Society!
Ooh, now I need to bookmark Sky's blog!

And if anyone has any links for tacky sites, send them to me, as Jim Des's Tacky Pages needs more for March.

Sorry I've been so garulous today.:)
