And the polls probably open in ten minutes...?  I don't know how early they open, honestly.  I'm still in my pjs, and thinking of just putting clothes on over them.  It's probably a less than ten minute walk over to Reiche School, where we vote.  [livejournal.com profile] eor feels that votes cast early in the day count more because whoever is winning early might influence undecideds.

The sun just cleared the buildings and drove it's spikes into my eyes.

Okay, I've just been sitting here holding my head for several minutes, trying to think what to do next.  I should just finish my tea and go - get it over with.  I wish someone made cards for politicians like you get for sports stars.  I mean, obviously there's too much information to fit on a card, but you could list the committees they served on, or possibly the percentage to which their votes in recent years have been party line or non-party line, and how often they skipped voting (with a note that sometimes skipping voting is unavoidable because they're in a committee session).  It wouldn't be much, but it would help a little to get a handle on who's who.

I have considered voting for Phillip Morris NaPier for governor just for the fun he'd be.  But, he won't win.  All Mainers love a kook to run, for the entertainment factor, but they don't really want a kook in office doing crazy stuff with our money. :)  I am impressed, though, that he's run twice, and got his name on the ballot this time, without funding.  And he wears a kilt.  See, that's what we need in politics - more people with some individual style so we can tell them apart.  It would make the trading cards more flashy.  (Hm.  He's originally from West Virginia.  I'd wondered about the name Phillip Morris.)

If anyone has been considering taking me off your friends list but didn't want to upset me... well, I'm feeling fairly strong at the moment, so go ahead.  If I really can't live without reading your most private posts...  I'll just whine to all the friends I have left what a big jerk you are.  But YOU won't have to read it. ;)  No, seriously - I'm sure some of you aren't certain how I ever got on your friends list.

Oh, wait... here's a question.  I know some of you added me because you liked a fic I wrote.  Would you prefer if I made another journal just for fic, so you wouldn't have to read my boring daily ramblings?  I'm not keen on the idea of having multiple journals - I wish LJ would make it so you can get only posts with x tag on them, if you wanted - but I'd do it if there were even one person who'd prefer that.
