Say hi, entertain me with drabbles or something.

Am useless.

ETA:
Forgot to mention I got two new offers from people I used to work with at HomeRuns offering to be references for me on my resume. One of them used to be a manager of mine, so that's particularly good. :)

Eor is being all good and productive and cleaning the cars out. He reports it's an incredibly beautifully perfect day outside.

Have poked at Chapter Five of my Pseudo Victorian Boys Adventure and added about fifteen words. And drunk tea. I made a sort of chai-without-milk Hannaford generic tea and some spices (chilli, cardamom, cinnamon and clove) in one of my little fillable tea bags. It's nice. :)

I am reminded by [livejournal.com profile] eor's post that I did not say anything at all about [livejournal.com profile] littleredhead and [livejournal.com profile] groundctrl's visit, and it was quite pleasant, as their company always is, so this is really an awful oversight.

That doesn't begin to touch on the day, but I'm a zombie at the moment and the couch is calling me.

[livejournal.com profile] daegaer wrote Banner/Gregg fic for me!!

(There have to be some benefits to being sick, since I don't seem to be able to do the 'take cold medicine and write craic-fic' thing, myself.)
I bought a lovely edition of "The Adventures Verdant Green," by Cuthbert Bede, a week or two ago, for only $8, and was happy. Then I came to a part which I really thought I should type out, because it occurred to me that some of you might find it as ... interesting as I did. So I checked to see if the book was on Project Gutenberg, which, in fact, it is. That made it very easy to snip this part (though I'm not sure the code will come out right).

And then his trousers go tight and beautiful )

I read a bit of that to [livejournal.com profile] eor and he just said, "This is how the English conquered the world."

Is it sociopathy if the whole society is like that?
The next two chapters of "Swept Away!" are short - Chapter Five at 2,445 and what is ostensibly Chapter Six at only 1,809 - but I can't figure out where to shove in more words. Should I go with short, or shove them together into one longer chapter, or keep beating my head trying to come up with more details until I can get to 3,000 on each? I realize that my goal of 3,000 words per chapter is completely artificial, but it seems to work to make me think up details, which these chapters might be a little short on.

The really scary part is, if I shoved them together I'd be a month closer to the point at which I've been hung and can't seem to progress beyond. The ostensible Chapter Seven, which I've begun writing inumerable times. Being closer to it may be either good or bad. I might freeze up, but on the other hand I'm often best at producing when I'm under pressure, because I know I have to just do something.
