Have poked at Chapter Five of my Pseudo Victorian Boys Adventure and added about fifteen words. And drunk tea. I made a sort of chai-without-milk Hannaford generic tea and some spices (chilli, cardamom, cinnamon and clove) in one of my little fillable tea bags. It's nice. :)
I am reminded by
eor's post that I did not say anything at all about
littleredhead and
groundctrl's visit, and it was quite pleasant, as their company always is, so this is really an awful oversight.
littleredhead and I spent some time being girly and shopping for sandals and clip-on sunglass covers for our glasses, and had good luck for the most part - both events (going shopping with someone and having good luck) being rather unusual for me, and, I think, for her as well.
She got the really cool steam-punkish clip-ons, but the dude at the stall where we found them said he couldn't do those for my glasses because of my frames being plastic. Actually I think even if I had wire frames they still might not work because my lenses are so very thick. So, he cut some of a different type to fit. They are not cool, they're kind of on the dorky side, but I've tried the transitional lenses and having prescription sunglasses and neither works very well for me, so it's either this or get those humungous wrap around goggles things.
It took ten minutes or so to cut the lenses, and he needed to have my glasses to do it, so Littleredhead kindly led me by the arm up to the food court to get a smoothie while he was doing that. I'm pretty near blind. :)
That doesn't begin to touch on the day, but I'm a zombie at the moment and the couch is calling me.
