Still sick, but going to work. Am feeling a little light headed at the moment. I got up early, went out to Starbucks to try to catch up with an acquaintance who hangs out there of Tues/Wed/Thurs mornings, or so he says, but he wasn't in today. Maybe I was too late. Stopped off at CVS and picked up more cold supplies, dropped off the rent check at the management company office and then went and got my teeth cleaned.
The dentist tells me he's reading some humungo Mort D'Arthur type series ("Like 'The Mists of Avalon' but more realistic and gritty.") that's making his thumbs hurt because the books are so heavy to hold open. :) The hygenist just finished something else by the guy who wrote The Kite Runner - this one is the women's perspective on the same period of time ("Not the happiest thing, but it has a sort of happy ending."). Need to get the book reports wherever I go. :)
I think the lightheadedness was from not having had solid food. Now I've had two eggs (and omg I want MORE - what is it about eggs?) and toast and I should jump in the shower.
I do think getting out to Starbucks early and sitting with my notebook was a good thing to do. Maybe I'll try to do that more often. Get me away from the computer early on in the day.
