words of advice

If you have a sealable hot cup and you decide to sterilize it with hot water, and you seal it and turn it over to get the inside of the top well clean... do it over the sink.

At least my counter got nicely washed down.

Oh, and another one I neglected to share with you the other day: If you are heating oil in a pan and it's getting too hot, so that you take it off the heat and start to slosh it around in the pan to let it cool, be careful to not get too rambunctious with your sloshing. If a little oil splashes out into the flame of your stove it can cause a neat flash flame effect, which would be great on a cooking show but is a little startling when you do it by accident. (Then while I was all adrenalined out I went to open a container of honey and ripped the lid right off. Don't touch delicate things when you're full of adrenaline.)

Man, so busy. This morning I skipped breakfast and made my PT person (stand-in, not my regular physical therapist, who has gone to The County for her grandfather's funeral) come in fifteen minutes early so that I could get done by 8:30AM in order to attempt to get to work at 9AM for that class. I ran in gasping and flailing only about four minutes late, shirt half unbuttoned and hair all disheveled, but I, um, pretty much got there. :)

But at least I got home a little early. I left at least a half hour later than I had intended to do, because of paperwork and then having left my keys in my locker and having to go back. :P ( TMI stuff )

This evening Eor and I did some closet cleaning. A few things will be ragged out, things which are a little too worn to wear in town but not quite ragged enough to turn into rags are going into the van, a few things are going to Goodwill. We ordered a calzone (totally off the diet) as a reward for doing that. And I ate way too much. And now we're exhausted. But we have a lot of empty hangers, which is good! :)

Hm, I forgot to tag my last entry that had stuff about books I've been reading. Must do. Er, sometime. Now I think it's time for bed.
