probably not a celebrity siting, cancer and paper mills... )

In completely other news, other people apparently sited Julianne Moore coming through the checkpoint day before yesterday. I had no idea who they were talking about, but now I wish I'd seen her just because they say she has dark red hair and is covered with freckles.

In this interview conducted by Neil Gaimen, Terry Pratchett mentions reading A Midwife's Tale: the Life of Martha Ballard Based on her Diary, and how it's really "about how a colonial settlement was run by the women while the men were away at war, and the men thinking that they were making all the decisions and running the country when in fact they weren't." And I thought "Oh, I have that book, I must read it." And then I remembered that I probably don't have it. I think I had it in my possession at one time, but that I sent it to my grandmother - not the one who died of cancer, but the one who died of Alzheimer's. But possibly I had the PBS special on videotape, and threw it out when I cleaned out videotapes, unwatched, because I'm a loser like that.
