I spent all morning rearranging my icon collection, which seems like a lot of work for so little to show for it. And now I've probably broken a bunch of links on old posts by doing that. Ah, well. I have a ton more icons I have to get coded in. Almost makes me wish I had some fancy gui system for making web pages.

And then I spent hours renaming all the pics I'm planning to put on the digital frame for my father. I don't know why. It's really not as if they need to be all named with the same convention. I just got started on it because I have this probably irrational belief that if there are capital letters or spaces in a filename it will cause problems, but that's a hangover from old interactions with html, the picture frame can probably handle it.

I finally got around to making cornbread with the new flour mix I made, and it's pretty good, though a little dense. I think I put in the right amount of baking powder. While I was in the process of doing that I was reminded of why I hadn't made cornbread in this month being at home - even when I'm not restricted in stretching and lifting, the big mixing bowl is a bitch to get down. It's that heavy Pfalzgraf stoneware, all the smaller mixing bowls are nested inside of it, and this whole stack is on the top shelf.

There was tons of fic out first thing this morning, and I had to read it all. [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge posted a new chapter in a Torchwood story (which is pretty good, imho, and must make much more sense than the show, from what I've read about it), there was something new out on [livejournal.com profile] bujold_fic (not slash), a new chapter in a continuing story on [livejournal.com profile] cox_and_co, new chapters in ongoing things on HolmesSlash and SpockMcCoyHaven - mind you, I'm not saying all of these were well written, but they're all continuing stories I'm hooked on right now. I need to exercise more restraint in getting hooked into stories. Well... I will do that when I go back to work. Um.

Poor Eor has been barely able to do much more than play Diablo or do a little database stuff for work. We just went out to do grocery shopping and it wore him right out.
