I phoned my brother, Hawk, last night, to check when he's getting married and he was telling me he got roped into playing with a pick-up band last Friday, because the band that had been scheduled bailed. The group got to practice together a couple of hours before the gig, and worked out about 45 minutes worth of music, and then went on stage. "Normally if I can see the rythm guitarists left hand I'm alright, but I couldn't see anyone's hands when we were on stage, and I couldn't remember anything about what I'd played earlier." But about fifteen of his drunken classmates showed up just as they finished what they had practiced and started screaming at them to 'play another!' so they ended up playing for two hours.
Recording here, though I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet so I can't vouch for anything, not even the genre. My guess is you'll get what you pay for. ;)
Pick-up band at Slainte, 1-21-12.
Also, I expect that if you peruse LintyBit's stuff you can get more of the same.
