I went to a Groundhog's Day(/probably secretly in her head Imbolc) party at my cousin's house last night.  It was good fun, though I felt bad for the people who were there who were not related to us geeks, because apparently all we wanted to talk about was Lord of the Rings and Dr. Who and these poor ladies were a little cut out of that conversation.

And today I've been a space-cadet and had a lot of chocolate and caffeine trying to get my brain a little less fuzzy.  Now it's time to hop on the treadmill for a while and try to work off some of that, and catch up on this week's chapter of the "Master and Commander" series;  Chapter Five of "The Hundred Days."  The discussion for the weekend is more than half over and I have not yet contributed, other than looking up the definition-descriptions of a bunch of 18th century surgical tools.  (A catling is a double-edged surgical knife used for taking off a limb, and it is a real word, spellchecker, bedamnedtoye.)

Right.  Treadmill.  Then either dinner or putting another coat of paint on that bookshelf I'm trying to rehabilitate.
