These kids are going to have to learn to get by on their own.

Just turned over my nail weeding in the side yard. Goddam that creeps me out. That yard is covered in crushed rock; a completely stupid plan in my opinion. You have to kind of rake away the rock in a spot, then pull the weeds, and it was just dumb of me to start that without having cut my nails, first. Or, you know, I guess I could use an actual rake instead of my fingers. Maybe I'M numb as a hake. I was ranting on inside my head as I was weeding, because it looks as though nobody has touched that area since I weeded it last summer. The people in units 2 and 3 use that door almost exclusively, and the guy who has Unit #2 is trying to rent it out - you might think he'd want the area to look cared for, it might rent faster that way. But does anyone take responsibility for that area? Hm. I'm not going to be here to take care of these kids forever.

Rake did not work. Wore through the glove, got bitten by ants, did not even get one decent pail full of weeds, really. And it started raining, again. I think it might be time to deliver those old van seats to the VW place, and pick up black metal paint to touch up our door hardware. There's such a plethora of choices of things to do.
