We return, yet again. This time from Florida, where we were visiting with Eor's family. Wonderful people. I also got to spend a great deal of time with the only child in the family. Eor says that made me a great favorite with the adults, because I kept her occupied. She liked me because I would play, color and read with her, but we had a bit of conflict around mealtimes, because she apparently believes she has a right to eat only cold buttered toast. If/When I get to spend time with her again I have to model for her that I make myself eat things I don't like, and do things I don't like to do, because they're good for me.

I should start my modeling now by cleaning the house and calling painters to line up estimates for next summer.

We had five more cards waiting for us in the mailbox when we arrived home last night, including one from kryptyd which arrived with the glue having let go, but the flap of the envelope had apparently been tucked back in by some kind mail processing person, I guess. :) Thank you!
Apparently following Copperbadge's Friday rec links has become a thing for me. It's Friday evening, time to read pr0n fanfic. Okay, it's mostly pr0n. But there's feeeelings. I read Been Looking At You Forever and Chapter 19.

I've been a complete space-cadet, today. Early on I emptied out one of the knapsacks of dirty clothes from the trip, made sure that the pockets had nothing in them, then went around and picked up other dirty clothes here and there and started a load of laundry. Hours later I realized that the first pile of clothes was still in the middle of the kitchen floor. I had walked by it any number of times.

At another point I was filling out a form for my doctor's office and realized I'd just come to a stop and was staring off into space. Although that's not actually all that unusual for me. ;) Shiny thought and I'm gone. I hope that having time to myself has done something for recharging my batteries, though, and maybe tomorrow I can be a little more with it.
