Got sent to Rockland for work, yesterday, so set up with my Aunt and her grandson to have dinner. And I hoped he would bring his sweetheart and their little child, because this kid is over a year old and I hadn't met him, yet - and he did. Cute little tyke. He doesn't talk, but he laughs a lot. If he doesn't know what to make of someone he laughs in their face. ;)
Other people I was really pleased to see included my Aunt's husband, and the big surprise, her son/my cousin and HIS youngest daughter (well, possibly only daughter, and I think/hope that she's his youngest child). I hadn't expected to because he and his son have been estranged for a few years. My Aunt was SO tickled that my invite had got them together.
And the first thing when her grandson walked in, my Aunt leaned across the table to him and said that I was in Rockland to help out at he airport because they were expecting terrorists.
I was like "I love how this family likes to make up stories!"
"What was I making up??" she said.
She cracks me up. :)
