One more day of work and the next day will be my operation and then I'll be at home for a month and you'll probably see so damned many posts from me that you'll be sick of it all. I hope to do some back-posting, too. I haven't been wanting to post a lot because, frankly, much of the news has not been all that good.
October 15 Hawk's Mate was delivered of their little sprog, and the event was very rough on Mate. The child seems to be doing well, however.
Within a few days after that, Hawk found that the cancer has spread into his bones.
Someone said I should cancel my hysterectomy because one doesn't heal well when stressed out. However, I don't see my life getting any less stressful in the near future. Or even in the somewhat more distant future. Might as well get it over with, now.
What I really want to try to do if I'm going to be home for all of November is write. And brush up on Excel skills. Maybe write letters to people, although they'll be rather depressing letters, I'm afraid.
