So... I never did talk about my trip to Seattle, and here I am on another vacation. One might get the impression that go on vaca is all I do, but I assure you this is not the case, but quite otherwise. It's just that I scheduled all four of my weeks in the few warmer months that were available. (In actual summer they have most days greyed out because they can't afford to have people off. And right now we're losing people faster than we can hire them. Summer's going to suck.)
We have been dealing with wood in one way or another constantly. For me, since Saturday morning. We put away a cord of kiln-dried stove wood, Eor cut a couple of ash trees and we rooted out some buckthorns, so he has cut and split and I have hauled branches and logs and splits pieces for the past three days. When we weren't doing that we planted 10 hazelnut bushes and an elderberry. Today we planted quite a lot of asperagus, too. And now the evening has caught up with me, and I'm too exhausted to post about Seattle. Tomorrow we go visit my cousin, D.
