We have cable television for the first time in like 3 years! You think I didn't get anything accomplished before, you're probably not going to see a post or email out of me for the next month! We're only going to have it for about a month while [livejournal.com profile] eor's parents are visiting, so his dad will have sports to watch, so I have to suck up all the TV time I want while it's available. I have no freakin' clue what's good to watch, now. Anyone want to give their suggestions on what I should rot my brain with?? :) Tell me which network it's on, too.

I like Trading Spaces, Saturday nights at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., on TLC. If you like crazy home decorating shows, you'll probably enjoy this.

Discovery Channel has a new weird home redesign series called Monster House, which airs Monday nights at 8 p.m., and is followed by a show called Monster Garage, in which a bunch of wild-ass gearheads turn ordinary vehicles into really bizarre things (for example, they turned a Ford Mustang into a giant golf-course lawnmower, a bread truck into a trebuchet, an ambulance into a mad wheelie machine, and a mini school bus into a pontoon party boat). Maybe it's just me, but I really dig this kind of shit. :-)

I was going to say Trading Spaces! I am so addicted, I bought the damn book.
I haven't seen Monster House yet, but I love Monster Garage.

aha - first important question... do you have BBCAmerica??? If not, sad. Otherwise it's mostly SciFi, F/X, TLC (think that's the channel that shows Junkyard Wars I'm not certain, The Sundance Channel, The Independent Film Channel. There's this show called Dinner For Five on IFC that is so cool! It's John Favreau and whatever motley assortment of actors or singers he puts together for a meal and they talk about all kinds of stuff.

I watch Seinfeld and The Simpsons regularly, which are on various channels (cable and network) several times a day. Otherwise, I can find a documentary on a subject I'm interested in on The Learning Channel, Discovery Channel, History Channel, or PBS.

Also, watch Spongebob Squarepants on Nickelodeon. It's on at 8 pm for sure, but also various other times during the day.
