My weekend turned out to not be as packed as I'd anticipated it being, but that's quite alright.

Saturday we got up early and I was groggy all day. We went down to Salisbury Beach (MA) to hang with [livejournal.com profile] eor's relations, and we both got too much sun. Came back earlier than they wanted us to because I'd told someone that we would try to be home by 5PM, but she didn't end up calling. However, it was a good thing we'd come home anyway - we thought we would have time to recuperate and then go dancing, but turned out the sun had really been too much and we were wiped out for the night and most of the next day. (We decided to watch Red Dwarf instead, but apparently the old practice of having the same show on the same night of the week and same time is now passe, so we ended up watching "Manor House" instead. This is kind of like the British version of Real World only with much more point, because the people are hired to play Family and Servants from Edwardian times, so it actually educates about history.)

Sunday I did a LOT of reading, finished "The Cat Who Walks Through Walls" (hated the ending slightly less than I hated the rest of the book, but that's not saying much - my god that book took forEVER to get through), and got well started into "Nightwatch." (And loving it, of course!) And O phoned Sunday afternoon - that always makes me happy-happy!;)

Sunday night attended [livejournal.com profile] jimdes' quitting work party at a bar in OOB, which of course was fun.:) Probably a good thing Eor was feeling too under-the-weather still to attend, because there was karaoke.;) I didn't leave promptly at 10PM as I had intended, because I wanted to hear a particular person sing, someone who never comes out with the night people because he's a morning person. (Consequently I didn't get home until 11PM, and I blocked in my downstair's neighbor's car, so I got up at 7AM to get out of his way - not enough sleep! But that gave me time to read more ...2 hours this morning. Pratchett books always go too fast!

Thanks for coming!

Well, needless to say, it was a fun night and it got a lot more fun after you left. Big momma got a little tipsy and told me about a thousand times that she loved me . . . Oscar sang his tune for you . . . then another later, XBPD did another Elvis tune, KB had more than her share of attention and was spotted being stalked by XBPD at her front door I had a ride from HELL in MS's truck down to Exit 3 . . . I just wish I were there to check out all the rumors over the next few days . . . I bet they were hot!

Big Momma gets to say anything she wants to anybody, doesn't she?

I saw Oscar yesterday, he said he was abandoned there, totally smashed, didn't know where he was, but then he said, "I found my kids and went to sleep." I had to ask, "Where were your kids?" "At KB's house." So then I, only half remembering what you wrote here (and that totally backward), said something foolish like, "I heard XBPD saw someone around her house, maybe that was you."

XBPD, by the way - I referred to him as "Mr. Intensity" in a post not so long ago.

Well now . . . Oscar had no place complaining about losing his kids, he was offered a ride to KB's house. Mr. Intensity was a little frisky . . . I can imaging the surprised look on his face when he saw all those kids though. I imagine it was quite funny. I wonder what it's gonna take to keep everyone quiet about this episode . . . especially Mr. Mouth
