If I miss a day reading my friends page I can't get caught up. I can barely keep up if I read every day. Which caused a problem when for some reason it got stuck and refused to update for half the month of August. (turned out I just needed to toss my cookies, but I have no idea how many posts I missed during that time.) And yet when a new person friends me (hi, [livejournal.com profile] maryshelley :) ) I feel compelled to friend them back. It's not just to be nice, it's because I want to know more about them as they do about me. I'm seriously debating just making favorite links to all the people I might want to read... or even making links from my website, that might be good.

I could eliminate the friends page thing altogether, or use it only for groups. That appeals to me, though it would mess [livejournal.com profile] eor up, since he uses my friends page. And why doesn't he have one of his own? He was too smart to get caught up in this mess!

I really have to get off my butt and get some things done, I've been trying to get caught up on LJs all freakin morning.

You could do like me and create a Sekrit Journal which is really more for the friendslist than anything.
