Thanksgiving at work, yesterday, was amazing - I work with some very talented cooks. I broke the gluten-free diet and ate everything. And slept 10 hours last night. I felt like I was drugged. It took a huge act of will to pry my ass out of bed.
Made myself a lovely beef stew for breakfast today. The beef was leftover from a roast we made Sunday, but I figured if it boiled for as long as it would take carrots to cook that should kill anything in it. I also added several scoops of mashed potatoes I brought home from work last night and generous sprinkles of cumin, chili, fenugreek and turmeric. I don't want to stop eating.
And news of the past few days...
Caw is back in town! :) I'm happy to have her back around, even though I think she should have given the job in Florida more of a chance. She was able to get used to washing busses in freezing weather in Alaska, I'd think the heat would be something which could be adapted to as well, in order to not be here in the cold for the next few months.
Of course it's been unseasonably warm, here. It's 42F (6C) right now! (I'm too lazy to find the little circle for 'degrees.')
