[livejournal.com profile] camwyn has just posted Part 4 of her ongoing Ghostbusters / "Harry Potter" crossover, "Who Ya Gonna Owl?" *chortles* It's kind of cool seeing the mix of characteristics she's chosen to take from the cartoon or the movie versions of Ghostbusters. Here are the previous chapters. There's no slash in it, [livejournal.com profile] camwyn isn't a slash writer, but at least Winston grabbed Ray's shoulder at the end of this most recent chapter, so I'll dream my own slash in there.;)

work news...

Today at work we got to screen bags belonging to Secret Service Counter-Snipers, and handle the sandbags which they use to rest their guns on. Thankfully we didn't have to screen the guns themselves because our Law Enforcement Liason Suit arrainged for them to be taken directly onboard. I think he'd been expecting the Secret Service, because The Shrub was in Wells (ME) today. And when you see a bunch of clean-cut youngish guys with seven matching guncases that might be a tip-off those are the guys you're expecting.

home news and musing...

Tomorrow I'm taking the day off to try to get more moving stuff done. So much to do...:P My futon (the first item of furniture I ever bought) is going to the Sally Army, along with the desk my Dad gave me the second time I went to college. Then all the vinyl records and laser disks need to be brought over, and the power tools, and there's still some seldom-used clothes. Which I really should have thinned out some more before we had to move, but oh well.

I'm debating about throwing out the stuffed toy gorilla (Chewy) which my brother, Hawk, gave me when I first went to college. Chewy has spent the past few years in a plastic bag because he's so full of dust that it makes [livejournal.com profile] eor sneeze. And Hawk would probably be the first person to say that useless possessions should be shucked. Still. It's Chewy. Y'know? I've considered trying to launder him, but I don't know how that would work.

[livejournal.com profile] eor is doing an amazing job of making everything fit into this space. Yeah, it does still feel like a bit of a maze at the moment, but it's getting there.:) But I'll be sooooo happy when this is over and I can sleep. After I've slept in for about a week I'll consider doing some other things.

socializing musing...

One of those other things ought to be getting together with Tina. She parked next to me again, but I felt I had to get home to get [livejournal.com profile] eor out to work, so I left a note on her windshield again.

Depending on how you leave they might not notice. If you carry a full knapsack, park the car, then walk over to the terminal and wait for the bus, it'll look pretty normal. Tomorrow... what time are you going? Because I have to go out there to take some stuff to one of my co-workers, if you want me to give you a ride. (We could meet inside the terminal and then the 'looking like you're just leaving your car while you go on a trip' thing will be fulfilled.)
