Someone posted an article on me-gaynet... Robert Scheer, Gucci Marxist, By John Perazzo, FrontPageMagazine.com | April 2, 2003 - "Scheer has spent his entire adult life as a passionate America-hating Leftist."

To which I responded:
"Y'know, I know absolutely nil about Scheer, but there's usually a pattern
to accusations like this. Usually when people try to force their country
to uphold it's own ideals or better itself, they're accused of hating their
own country. Maybe because they get frustrated, angry and depressed when
they realized that their country wasn't upholding it's professed ideals.
Your country is your parent and your child - we are what it makes us, but
we can also work to make it better. If we look at it with our eyes open
and don't pretend it's perfect we shouldn't be accused of hating it.

Sorry, there's my little bit of philosophy for the day. Guess I'd better
have some breakfast before I commit some heinous crime, like writing a
self-help book. "

Yes, breakfast is definetly in order. And much tea. Let's pull the brain back to the important questions, like, "When is the next installment of "Who Ya Gonna Owl" going to be ready? (I know it's at least half-written, due to the several quick emails I turned around with [livejournal.com profile] camwyn yesterday morning just before running off to work. ;))

And speaking of yesterday - must do better on getting to work on time today. I wasn't late, but pushed it. Ah, shoot! I forgot I was going to go get Mom a present today! Why did I spend my time reading Me-Gaynet? There's always something to distract me. Yesterday it was trying to write back to Teena.

And speaking of Teena - she writes back so quickly! I got the sweetest email from her this morning. She's still got her watch set on Maine time (she's in AZ). How sweet is that? She's too adorable.:)

"How [whatever] is that?" is something I picked up from Caw, another person who I desperately owe email to. She wrote to me 10 days ago, to reassure me that she had not been eaten by a bear, yet, though she did see some from a distance. Also, she has a couple of good job prospects.:)

*thwaps self on the head to go eat something, dammit*

Okay, now I have eggs cooking. I wonder why Semagic never posts the first time I try? *tries again*
