When we first started we were told that if the airport was shut down we would be sent home. Today the airport was, at least in effect as far as we were concerned, shut down - between the fog and the long runway being repaved, all flights were cancelled after about 6pm. We got lots of time on the computers, but there aren't enough computers for us to all be on them at the same time, so some people probably still haven't gotten caught up on things they need to get done. (We're required to take some online 'courses,' and allowed to take others.) I'm pretty close to caught up, because I decided to be a spoiled brat and complain that other people had been in there for 2 hours and not rotating out to give others a chance. So, I did feel that I made use of my time, it wasn't a total loss. It's just that, well, for some people it was. Sitting there with the checkpoint open when there's absolutely nobody to screen is just dumb.

I'm hungry. Think I'll go find some cheese and corn chips.
