exquiscadavre posted about why the classic SF future was called off, because I thought it was amusing. Although I still don't get why Heinlein's Objectivist hippies lost their appeal. That's just not explained. That was how I was raised, so maybe everyone else gets it and I just don't because I'm like the fish who can't see the water. *smiles brainlessly and hopes nobody will hit her on the head with meanness*
