I'm listening to "Prairie Home Companion" - Keillor is so good about making fun of things, like, er, the election.  Heh.  The healing power of laughter. :)

I also really must torment you all with snippets of Afrai's post at bravecows:

I like the British papers -- there is so much screechy rage in every direction. Nothing like a bracing round of screechy rage to make one feel that one is living in a fairly healthy political climate.

If you get the wrong party in power in America, countries go boom. Bit of a problem, that.

It's true about the screechy rage, you know. And it's not even only in the tabloids -- the broadsheets are full of it. It's totally fantastic what they find to get mad about. Some politician makes an untoward comment, and he goes down! heeee. <3
