My journal is called _trivialities_ because _my nick means 'not important'_.
My subtitle is _"1 am not a number"_ because _it's a stupid joke - because 1 obviously AM a number, but a number one resembles an "I" and it's a referance to "The Prisoner" who says "I am not a number, I am a free man!"_.
My friends page is called _"A few people I like to check up on"_ because _I'm checking up on all of you_.
My username is _derien_ because _it sounds like my given name, and it mean "of nothing" (not important) which amuses me_.
My default userpic is _(for the moment) me working on something_ because_I was trying to get myself to be Industrious and work on my NaNo, which I'm not doing while I'm filling out memes_.

1. Tell me something obvious about you.
I'm a ridiculously huge fan of slash fanfic.
2. Tell me something about you that many don't know.
My temper can be unpredictable and fierce. (Most people who know me really don't believe this until they see it.)
I do eat meat. (Most people think I'll be a vegetarian. I'm not.)
3. What is your biggest fear?
The pain or suffering of people I love.
4. Do you normally go the safe route or take the short cut?
I only take the short cut if I'm very sure I know it. Otherwise, in my experience, it can often turn into the very longest way around.
5. Name one thing you want that you can't buy with money.
Time
6. What is your most treasured possession?
My mind - and I know I'm going to lose it before I'm old, so it's important to use it now.
7. What is the one thing you hate most about yourself that you do often?
I often lose it and start crying when I most need to be levelheaded and rational - a huge drawback if I ever want to get anywhere in any organization.
8. Tell me something sexually about you that I don't know.
If you need to know it you probably already do.
9. Tell me something sexually about you that everyone knows.
I think everyone knows I'm bi and poly and would like a 'wife/co-wife.'
10. What is your favorite lie to tell?
I can't imagine. I'm not even one of those people who says "everything's great" if it's not.

12. Are you the jealous type?
I can be, with my friends. If I really like someone I want to know I'm important to them, somewhat more than just anybody else. I'm not jealous at all of anythingeor might do with anyone because I already know I'm important to him.
13. What is the one person, place or thing you can't say no to?
I have many weaknesses, but probably my worst iseor - I spoil him terribly, and I love doing it.:) (Probably I'll be the same with that potential future wife, if I ever find her.:))
14. What is the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
Hard one. I've had much luck with people being kind and nice. Also it's hard to judge, because the niceness of a gesture depends a lot on how much it puts out the person doing it, and whether they give that effort with an open heart. I think one of the most influential things anyone's done for me is that my friend's father got me a scholarship to a school where I got a lot of individual attention which I very much needed at that time, and he got my brothers each half-scholarships so that they wouldn't feel slighted.
15. If you could do something crazy right now, what would it be?
Take a tour of my friends' couches in France, England, Ireland and Finland.
16. When was the last time you cried?
Really cried, I'm not sure. Having a memory like a sieve is good for something. Probably had to do with work when I felt like I had a target painted on my back, late last winter.
17. When was the last time you felt so good that nothing else mattered?
Does not compute.
18. Do you feel comfortable in public with no shirt on?
Hah - never. And I wish nobody else would, either, I hate it when people go around without shirts.
19. Name something embarrassing you did while being drunk.
Thwapped a friend across the head because he annoyed me. I felt horrible about it, afterward.
