(Since the red dot which is supposed to show where I should be if I were on schedule doesn't seem to work on the static meter - it's supposed to be on the 70% mark.)

I don't know why I'm bothering to do these things now, since I'm obviously not going to finish before the end of the month, but I actually just filled in my profile and a snippet of my story at the NaNo site.  I don't now how to link to my profile so everyone can see it, though - *pout* - so if you've got more brain than I have right now (which wouldn't be hard) you can look for me at the NaNo site under the nick 'derienme'. 

I tentatively titled the story "One Damned Thing After Another," though I'm tempted to call it "Tripe Which Should Be Sporked."

Thank you! And of course I'll let you - I'm feeling very low on it at the moment, and kind of worried I might never finish it, but I have promised. I guess I'll have to keep pushing on through and just do something.
