lourds_is and her sweetie at the local lesbian bar, but something came up for them. What shall I do with my evening? Probably work on some of this web-page redesign I've been talking about forever.
I have my second Hogswatch present! :) It's way cute, but I don't want to say what it is because it's from Chriss Corkscrew (a Red Dwarf Slash Society member).I don't want to ruin it for anyone who might be getting the same thing.;)
I talked to both my brothers and my Dad on the phone. *grins foolishly* Love them. :)
I think this is the second time I've phoned Hawk (in Seattle), found he wasn't home, then phoned Eightball (in Santa Clara, CA) and found Hawk was with him. Eightball sounds more interested in the world outside of work than he has in a long time - he's even gotten a new CD player, so I can send him music if I want. I think I'll send him a jar of artichoke hearts. I almost had already bought them for him, but was afraid he had lost the taste for them. He said no, and that would be a great thing, because he hates to spend 5 bucks on a jar and then he just sits down and eats the whole thing - he can't stop.:)
The other thing he said I could get him was dress socks, because his are all full of holes and stretched out, and I heard Hawk in the background adding, "And make you look like you have old man chicken legs." (He's good for adding helpful comments.;))
"Black or navy blue, then," I said, writing it down.
"Or tan," Eightball added.
"Tan?!" I ejaculated. "Oh yeah, you're on the west coast. You can get all wild and crazy over there!"
"Yeah!" he said, "We can even get away with olive!"
Am almost done with "Motherless Brooklyn." I'm at the exposition part at the end. I wish it didn't have to end. It's amazing how many little things go through my head on a regular basis that sound so much like this character in the book. I'm so glad I have the ability to not act on those impulses.
