I'm drinking hot tea, I've put on my flannel and a sweater, and my shoes (I'm leaving for my dentist appointment in a little less than a half hour, so might as well have shoes on), but my knees are so cold. I wish I had an ankle-length wrap-around skirt. Anyone want to knit me one for Christmas? Maybe it's a goofy idea, I've never seen such a thing. Still, when you're cold anything makes sense. Hm...
eor has this lovely white throw rug his mother knitted for him which he adds to his blanket layers on his side of the bed. *gets the rug off the bed and wraps it around her legs* That's getting a little better. There must be something wrong with me, feeling the cold this much. Usually when he's huddled under that I'm kicking off the covers on the other side of the bed - that's one reason we need such a big bed. (That, and, as he says, our endless optimism.;)) The fan on the server is still running, so it must think it's warm enough.
I did go out to the movies with Teena last night. The movie was pretty funny, although the uniform dorkyness of the main character can be a bit trying at moments. I haven't seen the first Bridgit Jones movie, so can't compare. I do have to wonder if the first movie has elevated dorkyness to it's own kind of minor chic. I can't see any other excuse for anyone ever thinking I'm cool.;)
Teena, silly girl, had come out without a hat, scarf or gloves for a twenty-minute walk at night in December. Arizona girl doesn't seem aware of what the cold can do to you. I made her wear my scarf, because if she gets sick I'd have felt terrible if I hadn't.
Uh-oh, about time to head to the dentist's. Ick. :P
