General rule of thumb for the cooking of a turkey: 20 minutes a pound. Also: Baste that sucker good. And rub it all over with butter and stuff. Mmmm tender yummy turkey.
That would be a really good rule of thumb, if I'd had a scale with which to measure the weight of the bird. The label which had the weight on it got lost somewhere in it's trip back from the store.
However, it seems to be pretty tender - I went to move the cheesecloth and the wing fell off. And it IS yum. :) I just wish eor could have had dinner - he went to bed hungry two hours ago.
