It's a beautiful, clear, sunny morning and there's new snow on everything.:) Which means my car needs to be dug out. I should really do that soon.
Over the past couple of days I kept feeling as though I had things to write, but now that I've got semagic open I can't remember what any of those things were. Well, I was going to write about MarinerBrook's going away party, I know that.
I'm not sure I can make it interesting to anyone else, though. I had my one drink (Saxman set me up with rum as soon as I came in the door), and played pool - Mainertoo and Saxman teamed, and I was teamed with JA. And I did better than I've ever done before, only with HUGE help from JA, while Mainertoo went for every possible off-color joke about balls and teased me mercilessly about feeling proud of myself when I put one in, and Saxman, as usual, went efficiently about the business of winning the game with a quiet smile.:)
JA: "You want to just kiss it, right here," *pointing to a spot far down and to the left of where I'd have thought I was aiming for* "And you want to put a little bottom english on it so you don't scratch."
Me: *plunks ball into pocket and doesn't scratch and is delighted!*
Mainertoo: "I've always said she kisses balls better than anybody!"
BuddyBoy showed KD and myself around the place - we had the party at his VFW hall, and he's very proud of the ballroom because he urged them to get it fixed up. InteriorDecorator!BuddyBoy is particularly pleased with the chandeliers.:)
One of the VFW guys called across the room that he heard this was MarinerBrook's going away party, and BuddyBoy commented that we would miss him, and in response Mariner called back, "He's just going to miss the sex!" Buddy made a big show of trying to hush him, which only encouraged Mariner: "I want to proclaim our love from the highest mountain!!"
And several of us spent some time drooling about Jennifer Garner's belly, as there was a wide-screen TV showing Alias (without sound). I have no idea what else was going on in the ep, but there was an extended sequence with lots of slow motion where she runs through city streets at night in a sexy Goth schoolgirl outfit. Mariner said to me some time in the last couple of days at work that he was going to miss me in particular because he'd never hung around with a woman who scoped women like I do, and it was nice to not have to worry about what he said, with me.
