I just outright missed my dental appointment. I was happily washing dishes and thinking how great it was that I went back to bed for a couple hours and had already gotten my shower and the dishes were almost done, and then I got thinking about whether or not I should look up all the slips I put in for days off this year and go back and make a calendar with them all listed out, since Wibby is having a problem right now. After having okayed all his days off without comment they suddenly put him on leave restriction with no warning, saying he'd established a pattern of abuse. I've seen his little notebook that lists all the days off he took, and I can't see a pattern there. But it's easy to verify that most of the time off I've asked for has been because of doctor's visits... and that was when it dawned on me that I had a doctor's appointment today, but I hadn't asked for time off for it because it was so early.
So I'm rescheduled for Thursday at 10:30, and now I really should take time off for it. I wonder how much. How bad can it be, them taking the cap off and putting it back on with the permanent cement? Should take fifteen minutes, right?

eor's filkage, although he's right that some people might not find it funny if they don't know tech and/or the company he worked with at the time.
Also, I'm really interested in the Everyday Superheroes Fanfic Challenge, and want to heartily encourage all and sundry to join in, even if (or maybe because) I might not.
Here's how it goes: Pick a fandom. Any fandom, though the more "ordinary" the better. Toss in a few X-Men-style mutations -- telekinesis, pyrokinesis, metamorphic abilities, whatever floats your boat. Give them to your favourite non-superhero characters, either as a spontaneous manifestation or (if you want to make things even more fun) as something they've lived with all their lives. Then shake it up and serve in a deliciously cracktastic bit of fanfic.
And she's giving until early or mid-March, so ... maybe I will.:) Jeeves with teleportational abilities wouldn't look any different.
