back from the dentist, momentarily

Hey!  I actually GOT a birthday reminder from Semagic when I logged in!  It seems a bit late, as it's for yonmei (and wordswordswords, but I think that's a focused use journal for someone who I haven't got on my friendslist under her other name.)  but, happy birthday, yonmei!!! :)

Okay, must run off to work again, but just wanted to assure every one of you thousands of people who must be waiting on the edges of your seats that I did indeed make the dental appointment this time.  However, when I was in the chair with the bib around my neck and he came in and asked, "Do you want to glue it down today, or should we wait another month or two?" I had a tricky moment keeping myself from getting upset.  I was thinking, "You could have just had me phone to ask this!  I'm getting charged $45 for the appointment I missed and I didn't even have to have an appointment??"  But I hope he didn't see all that on my face, and I just said, "Oh, might as well do it today, I already took some time off."  But I only took a half hour off, so refused novacain.  Not a big deal.  but he is a really good guy - when he asked if I had any questions I asked if I was going to get charged for the other day, and he said no because he knows how that is - his sister is always late no matter how hard she tries.  And then he walked me out to the counter and made sure of it with the receptionist.  :)  (Or then again maybe he did read my face when I almost got upset...)

What?? I could have sworn I knew another name for her! Wait, does she maybe have yet a third LJ?

I swear to god (any god you like), I have no memory. It's hard enough for me to keep up with the names of people I work with, let alone people who have to have multiple LJs. :)

eor pointed out to me that it was pretty funny of me to say the thing about people who have to have multile LJs to YOU, but he knows I keep up with your multiple LJs and blogs and etc because I really care to.

I don't have multiple LJs! Um, okay, I do, but. Only two now! 'Cos afrai doesn't count, 'cos I don't use it anymore, and qian just barely counts 'cos I hardly ever use it.

And there's only one blog! that's still alive! um. :D

I had a dentist appointment today too (this afternoon) that was supposed to be to do a small filling in my wonky tooth. She ended up taking out the entire previous filling she'd done in 2004 and redoing that as well as the small bit. AND she said since she had to redo it she wouldn't charge me!
