After telling me the story about his wife's father, Dad continued with: "I got a literature book, recently.  It's just chock full of poetry and stuff, and there's this one that starts out, 'I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night...'"

"I've heard that one!" I said.

"Well for goodness sake don't recite it for me!  It'll make me cry!"

This morning I was delighted to find a Wikipedia entry on Joe Hill.
